HOPE, DEVOTION, & INSPIRATION

Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast (HEBREWS 6:19)

Alone With God

We have heard it said that we should spend time alone with God. That’s incredibly good advice for everyone. Our memories of those private times with the Lord are valuable beyond measure. We’ve also heard others express how their spirit was refreshed by doing so. Being together with God is always beneficial to us, but how precious is the tranquility we feel after an interval of sweet communion with Him! Read more...

To Infinity and Beyond!

I love the ocean! I want to be the first one to spot the water in the distance as you are driving there. I love its distinctive smell as you draw near. Music to God's Ears

I love to listen, sing along, or simply enjoy music that honors God. Whether it is singing hymns with the congregation or singing without restraint in my car while listening to my favorite playlist, I simply enjoy praising God by song. In a quieter moment or even during a stressful situation, it is even better to realize I have a song that the Lord has dropped into my thoughts, and it perfectly fits exactly what I am facing at the time.

Seasons of Life

When finally having time to take a breath and time to let my mind wander for a moment, my thoughts often reflect on favorite moments with my family or reflection on a time when God has been particularly close during a difficult time. You may think these contradict each other; one being a fond memory and the other remembering a not-so-perfect time of life. That is not always so. Read more...

Why?

Our present world is sometimes perplexing. Current events, facing mortality of a loved one, or frustrating situations without a solution can cause us to wonder why? Why would a loving God allow unfathomable incidents to occur that are beyond our ability to understand? Why is this happening to me? Read more...
